About Hoorah 4 Kids

My name is Catherine Gutsell (Cathy). I am married to Chris and we have 3 children, our son Casey and our two daughters Carly and Cayla. We also have a dog called Lottie who is very child friendly and has been with us since she was 9 weeks old. I know that not everyone is a dog lover and all contact, if any, with Lottie will be under close supervision.

Our house is a very spacious four bedroom detached property situated on Bells Lane in Hoo. We have a fully enclosed large back garden with various play equipment. All toys and equipment, both inside and out are updated and checked on a regular basis and replaced as necessary.

My aim is to provide a home away from home environment where all children in my care can play, laugh and have fun. Working in accordance with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) I aim to provide every child with the best possible start in life by giving them all the support they need to develop the skills which will enable them to fulfil their potential.

All the children will receive individual attention whilst enjoying interaction with others. All parents will be consulted on all aspects of their child’s care as they are the most important people in a child’s life.

I have completed the Diploma in Home Based Childcare and a Paediatric First Aid Course. I hold a certificate in the General Principles of Health and Safety and the Principles of Food Hygiene & Safety. I am also registered with Ofsted and a member of the NCMA.
